Random as it gets 6/25

Ok, I'd like to believe that me ripping the USA soccer team for losing to Costa Rica a few weeks back (go ahead and check, random as it gets 6/5) as the motivation for them winning yesterday against Spain. HAHA. Yes, I usually cheer for Spain but yesterday was a great moment not only for USA soccer, but USA sports as well. I really hope that upset is the turning point in USA soccer that its so badly needed. Id love for them to really compete next year in the World Cup. They have some great young players and I really hope they can carry this momentum to Sunday! Bring on Brazil!!!

Transformers 2 was OK. Just OK.
I feel like they rushed this out way to soon to capitalize on the success of the first film. Yeah there were cool moments, but overall it fails to connect to the first film. Not alot of actual transforming, not alot of plot, and alot of Megan Fox which I was ok with! There will be a part 3, but lets hope they take their time and maybe not let Michael Bay direct. Im sure GI Joe will be just like this.

MOON comes out in Cleveland on July 12! YES!!!!!!!!!! Who's with me?

I need to work more so I can go buy the pile of comics in my file at Carol & Johns. I have at least 5 waiting.....but I finally work tomorrow so ill hook that up Saturday. Yes!!!

SHAQ.
I like it. I just hope he can take the backseat to LeBron. If he can, this will work. If he is his usual self, its not gonna work, cause problems and we end up looking like the fools. Please no!!!! I think they are gonna go bigger (not size, but in magnitude) still before next season too. Today is draft day, so maybe something will happen tonight. Ill be watching!

Big 4th of July party at my place. Come celebrate America, Fuck Yeah.

Alice in Wonderland pictures!!!

This will be good....

F you Monday, and Michael Cera

Mondays suck.

There is nothing good about it unless you....
A) Don't work.
B) Are going on vacation, either today, or any Monday, or sometime this week.
C) Called off from Sunday Funday or whatever bullshit hipster term is used now.
D) All the above.

It should be legal and permitted to smack people if they act stupid.

I wish some people would leave me alone, but for some reason they just keep popping up.

I would like to shake some sense into a person. You know who you are.

Alas, other than those things, life is still pretty damn good.

No movie this week because I CANT STAND Michael Cera, so I didn't see Year One. Michael Cera is George Michael Bluth and that is it. I wont pay money to see him until the AD movie, or the Scott Pilgrim movie.
For the record, he plays the same kid in everything he does. Superbad, Nick and Norahs infinitely lame story, Juno(which by the way, I thought was way over hyped), and now this Year One. Even from the previews he acts that way. Cue "no berries for the fruit salad" line. Really?
I like Jack Black. Nacho Libre(one of the funniest movies ever!), The D!!!, Saving Silverman just to name a couple things...he's funny but the hatred for Mike Cera at this point is way too strong.

Transformers on Wednesday. YES!!

NASA is still working on the hydrogen leak, so Endeavor's launch has been pushed back until July.

I really miss WaterWorld today.

Fifty Seven!

Hey guess what happened this past week!! Pittsburgh won another Championship. Shit.

Back in 2004, I saw the Tampa Bay Lightning win the Stanley Cup. I was there. In Tampa, at the arena. It was probably one of the coolest things Ive ever been a part of. People running around having a blast, everyone getting along and happy. The only bummer is that I had to see it in a different town. I cant imagine what it would be like to have that feeling in the city that my heart belongs to. Im now to the point where I just want this city to win just for my fathers sake. 30+ years in the Dawg Pound. He deserves some kind of repayment.

My first Browns game was against the LA Rams. My father took me and we sat in the Pound. I will never forget that. My parents have had season tickets in the pound since the 70's. We are old school. We (the west siders) have been there longer than that fat ass Big Dawg. Its true.
My first Indians game was against the Yankees, and with my father, and grandfather. My grandpa loved the tribe, so ill never forget the pride he had on his face when we won, and he was able to see it with his son and grandson.
My first Cavaliers game was against the Indiana Pacers. It was with my entire family. IF I remember correctly, it was the only sporting event that all 4 of us went to. It was at the Richfield Colosium. My mom was always louder than my dad at any game. Sometimes, as a kid, it was embarrassing but looking back, it was awesome.

Sure the Browns won NFL championships in 56 and 64, when he was 4 and 12.

Look what is around us in my fathers lifetime.
Detroit--Basketball, Hockey and Baseball
Chicago--Basketball, Football, and Baseball
Pittsburgh--Football, Hockey and Baseball
Cincinnati--Baseball
Indianapolis--Football

If LeBron or the Indians won, this city would be crazy for a week. If the Browns won a Super Bowl, Cleveland would literally eat itself.

It would all be worth it for me to see my father smile and say..."Finally"

My father is the best man I know and he is my best friend. I probably wouldnt be here today if it wasnt for him having my back.

I love you Dad,

Happy Birthday...Go Browns.

-Your Son.

Random as it gets 6/15

Hey! Guess what fuckers! Unsparing Sea is playing on the Westside on Wednesday night. Its at the Matinee on W.25th. I know im gonna hear this excuse alot: "whaaa, I have to work on Thursday" well I dont care. Come see us play because we are a good band.

This weekend was pretty alright. Hung out with some old friends all weekend basically. Throw in some booze, a party in the Flats (thats right, the Flats)a crazy little karioke bar (In which I was denied singing my hit song "I believe I can Fly"....boooo)

I may be guest bartending at Johnny Malloys this weekend. The new one on the corner of 117th and Clifton. There is an art walk, so Im coming to help out from 12-6. More details to follow.

The UFC PPV sucked. Could have been the worst one Ive ever seen. BUT, at least now I know that the Riverwood shows the over-sea shows live in the afternoon, which is pretty sweet because I doesnt ruin Saturday night!

I had a mixed conversation about "November Rain" by Guns N' Roses last night with the people in my band. We came to the conclusion that, although it was Axl Rose trying his best to be Elton John, it is still possibly the last good rock ballad written. The 80's and 90's were full of them. Where are they now? Is it because all the heavy rock bands that are out now are just fucking horrible? Discuss...

The shuttle should be taking off on Wednesday or Thursday. There was a small leak that had to be fixed last week, which is why they didnt launch on Saturday. No worries though, it will be fine. Endeavor will fulfill its mission. God Speed.

Last weekend the only movie that really came out worth seeing was the Taking of Pelham 123. BUT I wont see it. I like Denzel, but I liked Walter Matthau better. The original was raw. This week, the Jack Black/Michael Cera movie comes out. Ill see it just because I like JB, but Michael Cera is growing stale. Youre George-Michael Bluth and always will be, no matter what character you play.

That is all for now, cheers.

New Design!

I decided that since I had nothing to write about, why not bad-ass my page up a bit. Throw in a picture of Tom Selleck "calling it" and some blue to match the waves he just crushed and boo-yah! New page.
Mustache.....check
Phone........check
Chest Hair...check
F you look...check

That John Farnham really inspires.

Inspiration?

What keeps me going?

This scene/song. Do yourself a favor and spend the 3 minutes.

Im in writers block mode again, im sorry.

Hey, there is an Unsparing Sea show on the west side this Wednesday at the Matinee on W.25th. You should come see us. That would be a very nice thing to do.

This blog thing sucks again. My bad. It will get better, I promise.

Agora, A-gone-a

Sad times my friends.
The Agora basically closed their doors last night. Strung Out, which is one of my oldest favorite bands played but its still a bummer. I got to thinking of all the music Ive seen there over the years. Some of the best shows Ive ever seen, including Propaghandi/Avail, Muse, Tenacious D, Sick of it All/Snapcase, Bosstones/Flogging Molly, Snapcase/Refused....which was one, if not the only time Refused ever came to Cleveland, and Faith No More....in which Limp Bizkit opened up and was boo'd off the stage. Still funny after all these years. Fred Durst yelling fuck Cleveland while being boo'd off stage....hahahahahah....Anyways,Its sad to see it go, but hopefully someone will step in and bring it back to its glory. RIP Agora, thanks for all the good times...and buckets.

Ok, some randoms now.

Roger Federer won the French Open. He is a bad-ass, but he still hasent beaten Rafael Nadal there, so it doesnt count in my book.

Last night I heard Tiger Woods being interviewed, and he said "Gnarly" As in "I hit a nice shot on 12, and it took a gnarly bounce into the hole". Tiger, you are the ultimate hipster.

I want to work in the NASA complex. There are so many secrets going on there, and I want in. I went to the Visitors Center yesterday, and while im walking around the museum, all I wanted to do is get in my car and drive through and see all the top secret government stuff. I think its awesome that people search your car before you can even get in! Im gonna go hang out there once a week until they are forced to hire me, or give me a pass.

Im out, have a nice week!

Random as it gets 6/5

Im still not talking about the Cavs. I dont have to.

David Carradine is dead. He committed "suicide". Good one. He was jerking off with a rope around his neck and pee-pee. What a way to go, just like Michael Hutchence. Its called autoerotic asphyxiation, but he blew it and the he BLEW IT! Jack-off fail. David Carradine was in the Kung Fu TV series, which was stolen from Bruce Lee. He was Bill in the Kill Bill movies, and he was pretty bad-ass, but NONE of those stand up to his role as Frankenstein in Death Race 2000. I love that movie and he is sick tight in it. I remember bringing that jem home to Brown St. Brilliant movie, great actor and died with his dick in his hand. OR murdered. Whatever, RIP David Carradine.
Photobucket

The US soccer team got raped the other night by Costa Rica. Costa Rica??? I know they are good and all, but dont we have more people in Ohio then they do in their whole country? I dont get how this country, which is so good in everything else, is no match in Soccer. I know its not as big here as in other countries, but we have should enough people to pick from that would annihilate any other country. It bothers me that we cant win in the biggest world sport, because we are supposed to be more superior than the rest of the world. Oh well. I cheer for Spain anyways.

2 movies come out today. Land of the Lost and The Hangover. The only 2 reasons I will see these movies is because of Danny McBride and Zach Galifinakis. Can they just make a movie together? Please. Reviews soon.

F the Lakers, Magic, Penguins and Red Wings. I dont care at all.

New Batman and Robin comic is out, going to get that shit RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRight naw!

Kristen Marie has a gay helmet and knows it, and by it I mean IT.

G'Day.

Ready to go nuts?

Along with District 9, this is the movie I want to see the most this year. Shitty part is that its only being released in NY and LA for a while. Oh Cleveland, you're so good to me.
Enjoy "MOON"

At least District 9 is a nation wide release.
Check it, if you haven't seen it.

Not Star Wars, but it is a New Hope

Thank you Geoff. I needed that kick.

I have slowly started to forget how much I love Space, shuttles, and all things NASA. My idiot of a cousin and I used to watch NASA channel daily. I still pay attention but I don't really talk about it. Ill use him living in Chicago as an excuse, but with 2 jobs, band, movies, comics, dating and just plain laziness I haven't really talked much about it recently. That is going to change right now.
So this is whats up.

Atlantis just got home from a successful mission going to upgrade the outer space Hubble telescope that helps astronomers look at the universe. The Hubble was in perfect positioning for the 'nauts to get at it on this trip. Only took the 5.3 million miles to get it. Hubble is now upgraded and ready to find some fucking Aliens.

Up on the platform is Endeavour. Endeavour rules because it usually takes new components up to the space station and this time its the Kibo Japanese Experiment Module Exposed Facility and Experiment Logistics Module Exposed Section. Basically, they're putting a new component that will do research and experiments on space medicine, biology, earth observations and biotechnology. You know, nerd shit.
Its pretty sweet cause it makes the space station larger and gives astronauts more room to work and figure out how we can eventually live in outer space.
Endeavour is taking off on June 13th.

Kibo means hope in Japanese. Get it?

I can make nerdy space shit seem fucking awesome!

Halfway through the year already?

Im not going to talk about the Cavaliers. I want to, but anything I will say has already been said 1000 times. Coaching, curses, fans, Mo, defense....whatever. All excuses. The Magic wanted it more and they got it. The Cavaliers now have 1 more chance to win, or else we will lose LeBron. I was always the one that said he wouldnt leave, but now hes getting fed up, and you could tell. Go spend money Gilbert. Get Boozer or Bosh. Let Varejao go sign with someone and dump Ben and Wally and get a force in the middle...or we dont stand a chance.

I saw 2 movies this weekend. The old fashioned theatre hop on sunday. The 2 most polar opposite movies I think Ive ever seen back to back! Drag Me To Hell and UP.
Both were great movies.
DMTH was a perfect throwback to old Raimi horror flicks (Evil Dead-ish) just with modern ways of showing disguting things. Fun story and a great ending. Cute girl too. Overbite.
UP was great too. Pixar doesnt really do wrong, so I knew going into it that it would be good. Dog collars that transmit human voices would be the best invention ever. The movie made me a little sad though....being alone sucks sometimes but you just do whats best with what you have before its gone.

Should be a pretty uneventful week. Lots of work to do. 2 jobs sucks, but its necessary.
This blog thing is starting to suck because Im having a hard time thinking of things to write.

Hopefully this mood of mine will change. It really needs to.

A tale of 2 scenes.

First off, do not get me wrong....I love my city, and I love my friends. There is a large problem here that I have noticed for a while. I realized it a long time ago, but had to actually see the problem in action to understand it.
This city's music scene sucks. Im sorry but its true. Im gonna catch shit for this but I have good a good basis for my argument.
DENVER, COLORADO.
The differences between Cleveland and Denver are amazing.
During my time in Denver, I felt part of a family. Everyone supports one another.
In Cleveland, everyone just "knows" eachother. But the scene is so shredded, its sad. The snobby indie kids that cant stand anyone else and have their noses so far in the air, clouds charge rent. Punk kids wont see the indie bands, hardcore kids wont see punk bands, and metal? Forget it! It bothers the shit out of me. If the kids/people in the Cleveland underground music scene expanded their horizons and opened their minds to new music, our scene would be sick! There are only 3 small great venues left and its impossible to pull a crowd because everyone is so goddamn stuck up. I like supporting my scene, and Ill go see my friends play everytime I can. If everyone just stopped worrying about themselves and started supporting the scene in this city..we would be back on the map.
NOW, in Denver its just the opposite. Kids/people arent linked into 1 genre. People support their scene. When I was there, we only had maybe 2 shows that didnt have at least 50 people there. Not only was it friends, but friends told friends and so on. The word in Denver spreads. You dont get that here. For the majority, the entire underground scene in Denver supports itself.
For instance, the DPUMS (Denver Post Underground Music Showcase). Has a ton of bands of 3 days in a bunch of different venues! Why dont we have that?????
I know why....because this city is so spread out. The Grog and Beachland are in the middle of nowhere, the only club downtown is the HOB, and good luck with that, and the Agora has gone to shit. Whats that leave us? Lakewood? The Hi/Fi, Syposium and Phantasy. Well, it used to have Undercurrents but that has apparently gone to shit. We need to bring this back, and get the Plain Dealer/Scene involved. We can turn this city's scene around!! We just need to band together!!
At least Now Thats Class and the Matinee are trying.

Too bad it wont happen. This city gains momentum and then falls on its face.
We are no different than Denver.
They have mountains, we have a lake.
They have great local bands, we have great local bands.
They have Waterworld, we have Cedar Point.

Cleveland needs to get out of this mind state that you can only support who you know.
If we all came together, we could get this city back to its glory, bands would get noticed and we could make a difference.

Whos with me?

Writers block.

I never said anything about being good at this.
For the most part of today Ive been running around trying to find a new bartending gig, thinking about things to write about. Although there are alot of things running through my head, there is nothing really that important to write about.

I could write about how much fun I had this past weekend walking through the underground tunnels, bridge tours and playing Trivial Persuit with Cami and Co. OR how awesome it was to see a guy (Lyoto Machida) finally win the belt I said he was going to win over a year ago. (I called it! Thanks Herrera) OR how I spent sunday at the rib cook off wanting to see Keane, but not getting to because I had to watch the Cavs lose. OR about how I got into an unnecessary argument with my friend based on my stupid ex, and how I proceeded to argue with her most of the night. OR how I dropped a rediculous amount of money this weekend and have absolutlely nothing to show for it. OR how I personally put together 200 promotional CDs for the Unsparing Sea tour in June.

But I wont.
I still had fun.

Now, we have game 4 tonight, and Im not doing shit for it. Im gonna sit on my couch and scream from the privacy of my own living room in hopes that this amazing season continues. Followed by tomorrow afternoon when I sit on before mentioned couch and watch Barcelona beat Manchester United in the Champions League. Besides work, I dont plan on doing anything until I go back into public for game 5, deep in the Q!

I stoked to have some down time for a couple weeks. We go on tour starting in 3 weeks so I need to save the cash I have.

Ill do my best to keep things intersting for the 3 of you that read this, but dont expect much!

Go Cavs!

Random as it gets 5/22

Holiday edition!
Guess who is going to drink a little bit this weekend? Whats happening you ask? Well....

Tonight is game 2. We have to win. No exceptions. IF we lose, its over. I expect us to win by 20 at least and not lose again in the series. Its funny how that 1 loss gets everyone worried in this season! Fuck the past, have faith in your team, city, and LeBron! We have the best player on the planet. No more negativity. Ill be in Solon cause Danny is a dick, but Ill be at game 5 and 7 and finals. Bob and Wanida are banned.

Tomorrow the bridge tour!!! The Detroit/Superior bridge....9am til 3. Come see some old Cleveland shit! Im stoked! Then at night it's the UFC fights. My main dude Lyoto Machida is finally getting his well deserved title shot against Rashad Evans. Whats tough about this is that everyone sleeps on Rashad and yet he always wins. Hes a beast! Its hard to pick against him, but I have loyalties to Machida. Ive legitimatly cheered for this dude since the first time I saw him fight. Its gonna be a good fight hopefully. Plus the undercard has Hughes/Serra. The 2 biggest assholes in MMA. I hope they kill eachother. Literally.

Sunday is a cookout day somewhere and then to the rib cook off to see Keane. Im not a super huge Keane fan, but I do enjoy them and I think it will be a fun show.

Monday is a recovering, but Im sure there will be something to do.

If you havent seen yet, 3oh!3 was attacked by the Cleveland Eye Center and FOX 8. This is hilarious. The people are pissed cause of the breakdown of "dont trust me" has a Helen Keller reference. WHY IN CLEVELAND? Do we really need to worry about this? I have it from the highest authority (Dr.Sean Foreman) that the lyric is a joke! Not to be taken seriously! She talked with her hands anyways!!!!! All this is gonna do is help them sell more records and get more press. Which is fine by me, cause theyre my friends and more power to them...im just bummed it happend in Cleveland and not somewhere else. Like Detroit

I also just want to say that no matter how shitty it is, always be nice and honest. Never ignore people and always keep a positive attitude! As long as you do the right things in life, then people will respect you. No matter what.

Terminator sucks.

Stay safe people.

No salvation.

The worst summer movie so far goes to.......Terminator Salvation!

I wont get into why its so bad, but if you want to waste your money and time, then go see it.
The plot is fucking HORRIBLE. The acting is sub par (even with my crush, Bryce Dallas Howard). The only thing that was cool about this movie was the action, which at times was OK.

I feel duped by Hollywood. I feel that McG (whom i may never see another movie from again) basically pitched the idea of bringing the "Terminator" name back just to make some money....not caring at all about the story, or the history. I thought the 3rd one was enough, but NOOOOOOOO they had to bring it back to beat the living hell out of the story.

Holy shit do I want to tell you what happens, but I wont. Just be prepared to laugh. Alot.

Should have left the story in the molten lava with Arnold.

Save me Robert Patrick, you're my only hope.

We have a winner!!

Get ready to vomit in your mouth

These movies are being remade. I shit you not.

-Highlander....cant there only be 1?
-10.....God bless Bo Derek
-Last Tango in Paris......with Tom Cruise. Oh Christ, i mean space alien god!
-Barbarella and Red Sonja.....both rumored to be starring Rose McGowan. I'm OK with these. Seriously.
-Last Star fighter......please no!!!!!
-Battle Royale......its getting the US treatment. Should be interesting
-Evil Dead.....Raimi and Campbell are doing it. Also, should be OK.
-Conan the Barbarian.......Id like Bridgette Nielson in this one please.
-Logan's Run.......hmmmmm.
-Deathwish.......starring Stallone. Fuck. Only 1 Bronson.
-Fahrenheit 451......starring Hanks. Maybe. Only 1 Bradbury
-Clash of the Titans......no way they can match the effects of the original Kracken!!!
-The Birds......I'm sorry, but NO Hitchcock movie should ever be remade. i.e. Psycho
-Warriors.....another one ill say, please don't.
-Meatballs......Whats the point? It wont be better than Candy/Murray
-Porky's......Howard Stern is behind this, I guess he could make it worth it.
-Short Circuit......re-imagining with the original writers. I'm OK with it.
-1984......Tim Robbins. It could work.
-Footloose......IMPOSSIBLE to make this better than the original.
-Robocop.......see Footloose

and guess what!

Ghostbusters 3! With the same cast, just passing the torch to a new team...of ladies. I'm not kidding. Eliza Dushku is attached.

Rambo 5! They could make Rambo 47 and Id see them all

That's fun times, right???!!!! Now, go puke.

-Ryan, the ruiner of good times.

Wednesdays are weekend teases

I know I said Id update this daily, but that shit is hard to do. The week goes by, I work my jobs and I come home, or hang out with some friends. This week, shit doesn't pop off until the weekend. Today I may golf with Lysyj, and the Cavs play tonight, but other than that I'm going to sit in my office all day and call a bunch of old people on the phone and try to get them to spend some money during a recession.
In the meantime of all that, Ill be texting my friends in Denver talking about how the Nuggets blew the win last night in LA and how the Cavs should win tonight. (God, Ive been good. I try to do the right thing all the time, and so do my friends.....so please let us win!). Ill also be trying really hard to get Cami not to hate me, which right now she does....

I have to keep thinking about how fun this weekend will be, and keep trying to do the right thing and be honest. That's all I can do.
-Tunnel tour!
-Evans v. Machida
-Rib cook-off w/ Keane
-Team Tower City
-Booze
-Cavaliers

Should be good times.

Its all elementary, my dear Watson.....this looks fun

Toodles! and Congratulations Larkin Family!

20 years and Some Tennis

Last night I hung out with two of my oldest friends, Mike and Mark.
It never fails that when the 3 of us get together, shenanigans are bound to happen. I'm paying for it today. Today's hangover is in my top 5 hangovers of all time. I think we ended up at some Greek bar where old men were dancing, slapping their feet. It was crazy. Now today I'm couch ridden, catching up on old Star Trek movies and reading the comics I bought last night. I would get up, but tomorrow is Cedar Point and I'm not 20 anymore. My body couldn't take 2 nights of boozing followed by some gnar roller coaster action.

I also would like to mention how much I enjoy tennis these days. I never really payed any attention to it, until a couple years ago. Claire kinda got me into it, and Maria made me a fan of Rafa Nadal, so I started keeping up. Its pretty sweet. 2 people bust ass for about 3 hours in ridiculous heat usually. Playing one on one is always more of a mind fuck than team sports too, I think.
Tennis should get a little more credit....not to mention some of the matches between the top 3 guys in the world (Nadal, Federer and Djokovic) are pretty insane. Viva Nadal! and F you Rich.

Worst commercial in the history of commercials.

Fucking Sprite.

That stupid commercial in where homeboys and girls start running at full speed and then jump into eachother.
The result is both of the people exploding into sprite to shower thier friends, who are just standing there enjoying the sugar water mess that just soaked them.
Mind you, its hot outside!!!
These people are standing around with gigantic refreshing smiles on their faces because thier friends imploaded into Sprite!
My friend just exploaded into Sprite, but im cooled off now and my thirst is quench.

Game on!

All Sprite commerical marketers should be ashamed for thinking this was clever.
Ill think of something better soon......I swear.

-Spryite

Opie Taylor, Obi Won and Forrest Gump

Q: How could Ron Howard + Tom Hanks + Ewan McGregor possibly make a bad movie together??
A: They cant.
Throw in some Stellan Skarsgard and Angels and Demons is an all around enjoyable flick. Even if you haven't read the novel by Dan Brown, you'll still enjoy this movie. I promise. It has everything a good crime/drama/suspense movie needs and it keeps well to the book. Which was only sorta the case with The Da Vinci Code. I actually think this (A&D)was the better of the two Brown novels turned into flicks.
SO
Go see it, after Star Trek of course.

Next week -> Terminator Salvation.

Dont worry, Im not gonna sit here and say every movie is good and that you should go see it. Im actually looking foward to trashing a couple, but its all in good fun. Its just me being jealous because I have nothing to do with making movies at all.

Off to the comic shop and then to get boozed up with Sobey.

Someone come do my dishes please.

Sometimes different thoughts swirl around my head and none of them have to do anything to do with eachother. So I figured, why not share them! This "title" will probably pop up once a week or so.

-This is my blog. I never wrote one before because I just didnt care and now Im doing it for fun. I dont care that you had a blog years ago or that youre so advanced in the "online" world.

-Why are some of the people in this city so fucking cool? Im not being literal. This is Cleveland, get over yourself. Im not speaking about 90% of the people I know, but there is that 10% that still thinks we are in high school. You know, super nice to your face but then talks shit behind your back. Im real with every single person I meet, and I am proud to say that. Are you? If you dont like me, or cant be nice...dont bother being in my life, cause im better without you and so are most people.

-I am so stoked for Cedar Point this summer, but at the same time so bummed that I dont have Water World. Last summer fucking ruled.....Matty, Rob, Stacia, Stef, Devon, Jeff, Hector and myself started a gang of Water World Warriors called The Castawayz. (Nicknames and all....mine is Sea Bass) We went close to 20 times...and the Castawayz grew to almost 50 people by the end of the summer. It was amazing. A bunch of tattooed, haggard, hungover and hilarious adults running around like 10 year old kids. We raced on the fast rides, had signature landings and entries to many rides, caused 30 minute pile-ups and almost got removed on countless occasions. Being a co-founder of the Castawayz, it makes me sad that I wont be there for most of the shenanigans, but I will be there at some point this summer. SO, keep it wet, Castawayz. Do a Tortuga for me!!!

-Which brings me to Cedar Point. The best amusement park in the world. I plan on going alot this summer because passes are super cheap and worth it. Plus you walk around so much that youll get in shape. Boo-yah!
Whos with me? Lets get this goin!

-As most of you know, my life is a bit crazy. If you have any questions youd like to ask me or anything like that...just email me at rkelly216@gmail or send it to facebook. Only reason im saying this is because some people have asked me things about my life that have helped them get through times, and/or made them laugh. I have no problem sharing my experiences. Not to mention that Im pretty good with advice, as some of my close friends know. Ive been told that I give the best advice but I can never take my own.....so there you go.

Deadpool vs. Spock vs. LeBron

Ok, first, my thoughts on the Wolverine movie. (NERD STYLE)
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Hugh Jackman is a giant pussy and Wolverine tears people to shreds. NO FEELINGS involved. That's just the beginning.
Gambit was done tastefully, and the dude that played him (Taylor Kitch or whatever) did a pretty good job. They set him up perfectly for a spin-off.
Now, Deadpool. Played by Ryan Reynolds. Now I like Ryan Reynolds, and for the most part I think he's pretty funny in most things hes in...BUT....he should have done research.
1. Deadpool ALWAYS has his mask on. I don't care if they spin this off to a new movie and say that the "Wolverine" movie was his beginning....cause it wasn't.
2. He was cancer ridden (hence the mask) and that's why he VOLUNTEERS for the Weapon X program.
3. He can regenerate, but he CANNOT teleport or shoot lasers out of his eyes. He also carries his swords instead of them coming out of his hands.
-In the beginning of the movie he was perfect, minus not wearing a mask. Merc with a mouth and just plain bad-ass.

(NON NERD Response)

It was ok. It has alot of cool CGI in it and the story line isn't all that bad.
Its worth seeing in the theatre, but not really.

STAR TREK

Both NERD and NON NERD responses

1. It ruled.
2. JJ Abrams rules and does no wrong
3. Go see it immediately.
4. It has every aspect of a great movie. Even the casting was next to perfect.
5. Even if you know nothing about Star Trek except that the guy in the Priceline.com commercials was once in it, you will enjoy this. I PROMISE.

NOW........

CAVALIERS!!!!!!!!

2 Series sweeps. By 10 or more. Owning teams.

Now our playoffs start.

Don't expect this corn holing to continue. Whomever wins the Boston/Orlando series will give us a problem. We didn't play the Magic very well this year (BLOWOUT) and, well, Boston is Boston.
It will be a good series regardless who we end up playing.
Then there is the Western Conference. Denver is killing it, and who didn't see that coming. If Cleveland is doing well in a sport, then Denver will always be around to try to spoil our party or one up us. (i.e. Broncos v. Browns, Rockies made the series 2 years ago and we lost 3 straight to Boston) NOT to mention that I have alot of friends in the 303 that give me shit almost daily. Then, if Denver loses its Kobe and the Lakers. Who, if you forgot, were in the finals last year.

Point being is that its gonna be tough no matter what road the Cavaliers have to take.

My predication - Cavs sweep to the first title in our lifetimes.
Why? - WE FUCKING HAVE LEBRON JAMES AND THEY DONT.

The Beginning.

Welcome.

Let me first start off by saying I dont give a shit if you read this.
The only reason I started this is because I was encouraged to. It makes no difference to me if this is boring to you, or if you gain something from it. You're welcome either way.

This blog is basically for me to talk shit to myself so that months later I can go back and either laugh at my idiocracy, or high five myself and scream out loud that "I called it"

2 reasons: why and what this is about:
1. Im driven by happiness, heartbreak, cockyness, enjoyment, madness, love and hate. If I could play the guitar I'd write songs about it, but Im a drummer and I need to stay in the pocket. Im not going to get very personal, and Ill do my best to not mention names, but Ive seen and been through a lifetimes worth of things in a very short 30 years. Ive been through things people couldnt even imagine or handle. Im not saying that you, the reader (if there is one sad soul) havent been through as much.....but this is my blog thingy, my life and my opinions... so go eat a sandwich.

2. Im a nerd, and need to express my nerdisms to the world. Im trapped in a world of movies, music, comics, space and time. Ill give my own reviews on all that shit and let you know what im doing about them. Thats it really.

Ill probably try to hit this up once a day. It will mostly have nerd shit on it and movie reviews and all that crap that I usually put on myspace or facecrack. Ill do my best to keep the nerdery to a minimum.

Thanks for reading if you did, and Ill do my best to entertain as best as I can.

-One of the nicest guys you know.
