Fifty Seven!

Hey guess what happened this past week!! Pittsburgh won another Championship. Shit.

Back in 2004, I saw the Tampa Bay Lightning win the Stanley Cup. I was there. In Tampa, at the arena. It was probably one of the coolest things Ive ever been a part of. People running around having a blast, everyone getting along and happy. The only bummer is that I had to see it in a different town. I cant imagine what it would be like to have that feeling in the city that my heart belongs to. Im now to the point where I just want this city to win just for my fathers sake. 30+ years in the Dawg Pound. He deserves some kind of repayment.

My first Browns game was against the LA Rams. My father took me and we sat in the Pound. I will never forget that. My parents have had season tickets in the pound since the 70's. We are old school. We (the west siders) have been there longer than that fat ass Big Dawg. Its true.
My first Indians game was against the Yankees, and with my father, and grandfather. My grandpa loved the tribe, so ill never forget the pride he had on his face when we won, and he was able to see it with his son and grandson.
My first Cavaliers game was against the Indiana Pacers. It was with my entire family. IF I remember correctly, it was the only sporting event that all 4 of us went to. It was at the Richfield Colosium. My mom was always louder than my dad at any game. Sometimes, as a kid, it was embarrassing but looking back, it was awesome.

Sure the Browns won NFL championships in 56 and 64, when he was 4 and 12.

Look what is around us in my fathers lifetime.
Detroit--Basketball, Hockey and Baseball
Chicago--Basketball, Football, and Baseball
Pittsburgh--Football, Hockey and Baseball
Cincinnati--Baseball
Indianapolis--Football

If LeBron or the Indians won, this city would be crazy for a week. If the Browns won a Super Bowl, Cleveland would literally eat itself.

It would all be worth it for me to see my father smile and say..."Finally"

My father is the best man I know and he is my best friend. I probably wouldnt be here today if it wasnt for him having my back.

I love you Dad,

Happy Birthday...Go Browns.

-Your Son.
