Random as it gets 6/25

Ok, I'd like to believe that me ripping the USA soccer team for losing to Costa Rica a few weeks back (go ahead and check, random as it gets 6/5) as the motivation for them winning yesterday against Spain. HAHA. Yes, I usually cheer for Spain but yesterday was a great moment not only for USA soccer, but USA sports as well. I really hope that upset is the turning point in USA soccer that its so badly needed. Id love for them to really compete next year in the World Cup. They have some great young players and I really hope they can carry this momentum to Sunday! Bring on Brazil!!!

Transformers 2 was OK. Just OK.
I feel like they rushed this out way to soon to capitalize on the success of the first film. Yeah there were cool moments, but overall it fails to connect to the first film. Not alot of actual transforming, not alot of plot, and alot of Megan Fox which I was ok with! There will be a part 3, but lets hope they take their time and maybe not let Michael Bay direct. Im sure GI Joe will be just like this.

MOON comes out in Cleveland on July 12! YES!!!!!!!!!! Who's with me?

I need to work more so I can go buy the pile of comics in my file at Carol & Johns. I have at least 5 waiting.....but I finally work tomorrow so ill hook that up Saturday. Yes!!!

SHAQ.
I like it. I just hope he can take the backseat to LeBron. If he can, this will work. If he is his usual self, its not gonna work, cause problems and we end up looking like the fools. Please no!!!! I think they are gonna go bigger (not size, but in magnitude) still before next season too. Today is draft day, so maybe something will happen tonight. Ill be watching!

Big 4th of July party at my place. Come celebrate America, Fuck Yeah.

Alice in Wonderland pictures!!!

This will be good....

F you Monday, and Michael Cera

Mondays suck.

There is nothing good about it unless you....
A) Don't work.
B) Are going on vacation, either today, or any Monday, or sometime this week.
C) Called off from Sunday Funday or whatever bullshit hipster term is used now.
D) All the above.

It should be legal and permitted to smack people if they act stupid.

I wish some people would leave me alone, but for some reason they just keep popping up.

I would like to shake some sense into a person. You know who you are.

Alas, other than those things, life is still pretty damn good.

No movie this week because I CANT STAND Michael Cera, so I didn't see Year One. Michael Cera is George Michael Bluth and that is it. I wont pay money to see him until the AD movie, or the Scott Pilgrim movie.
For the record, he plays the same kid in everything he does. Superbad, Nick and Norahs infinitely lame story, Juno(which by the way, I thought was way over hyped), and now this Year One. Even from the previews he acts that way. Cue "no berries for the fruit salad" line. Really?
I like Jack Black. Nacho Libre(one of the funniest movies ever!), The D!!!, Saving Silverman just to name a couple things...he's funny but the hatred for Mike Cera at this point is way too strong.

Transformers on Wednesday. YES!!

NASA is still working on the hydrogen leak, so Endeavor's launch has been pushed back until July.

I really miss WaterWorld today.

Recessionally YOURS,

Fifty Seven!

Hey guess what happened this past week!! Pittsburgh won another Championship. Shit.

Back in 2004, I saw the Tampa Bay Lightning win the Stanley Cup. I was there. In Tampa, at the arena. It was probably one of the coolest things Ive ever been a part of. People running around having a blast, everyone getting along and happy. The only bummer is that I had to see it in a different town. I cant imagine what it would be like to have that feeling in the city that my heart belongs to. Im now to the point where I just want this city to win just for my fathers sake. 30+ years in the Dawg Pound. He deserves some kind of repayment.

My first Browns game was against the LA Rams. My father took me and we sat in the Pound. I will never forget that. My parents have had season tickets in the pound since the 70's. We are old school. We (the west siders) have been there longer than that fat ass Big Dawg. Its true.
My first Indians game was against the Yankees, and with my father, and grandfather. My grandpa loved the tribe, so ill never forget the pride he had on his face when we won, and he was able to see it with his son and grandson.
My first Cavaliers game was against the Indiana Pacers. It was with my entire family. IF I remember correctly, it was the only sporting event that all 4 of us went to. It was at the Richfield Colosium. My mom was always louder than my dad at any game. Sometimes, as a kid, it was embarrassing but looking back, it was awesome.

Sure the Browns won NFL championships in 56 and 64, when he was 4 and 12.

Look what is around us in my fathers lifetime.
Detroit--Basketball, Hockey and Baseball
Chicago--Basketball, Football, and Baseball
Pittsburgh--Football, Hockey and Baseball
Cincinnati--Baseball
Indianapolis--Football

If LeBron or the Indians won, this city would be crazy for a week. If the Browns won a Super Bowl, Cleveland would literally eat itself.

It would all be worth it for me to see my father smile and say..."Finally"

My father is the best man I know and he is my best friend. I probably wouldnt be here today if it wasnt for him having my back.

I love you Dad,

Happy Birthday...Go Browns.

Random as it gets 6/15

Hey! Guess what fuckers! Unsparing Sea is playing on the Westside on Wednesday night. Its at the Matinee on W.25th. I know im gonna hear this excuse alot: "whaaa, I have to work on Thursday" well I dont care. Come see us play because we are a good band.

This weekend was pretty alright. Hung out with some old friends all weekend basically. Throw in some booze, a party in the Flats (thats right, the Flats)a crazy little karioke bar (In which I was denied singing my hit song "I believe I can Fly"....boooo)

I may be guest bartending at Johnny Malloys this weekend. The new one on the corner of 117th and Clifton. There is an art walk, so Im coming to help out from 12-6. More details to follow.

The UFC PPV sucked. Could have been the worst one Ive ever seen. BUT, at least now I know that the Riverwood shows the over-sea shows live in the afternoon, which is pretty sweet because I doesnt ruin Saturday night!

I had a mixed conversation about "November Rain" by Guns N' Roses last night with the people in my band. We came to the conclusion that, although it was Axl Rose trying his best to be Elton John, it is still possibly the last good rock ballad written. The 80's and 90's were full of them. Where are they now? Is it because all the heavy rock bands that are out now are just fucking horrible? Discuss...

The shuttle should be taking off on Wednesday or Thursday. There was a small leak that had to be fixed last week, which is why they didnt launch on Saturday. No worries though, it will be fine. Endeavor will fulfill its mission. God Speed.

Last weekend the only movie that really came out worth seeing was the Taking of Pelham 123. BUT I wont see it. I like Denzel, but I liked Walter Matthau better. The original was raw. This week, the Jack Black/Michael Cera movie comes out. Ill see it just because I like JB, but Michael Cera is growing stale. Youre George-Michael Bluth and always will be, no matter what character you play.

That is all for now, cheers.
